Garry Kasparov vs. Terence Chapman

Charity Chess Challenge

** GARRY KASPAROV WINS 2.5 - 1.5 **

Chapman vs. Kasparov

Welcome to the London Chess Center’s coverage of the Charity Chess Challenge.

In this unique event, world number 1 Garry Kasparov faces London businessman Terence Chapman in a four game match. Garry is certain not to have things all his own way, as he will be giving Terence odds of two pawns in each game.

For an explanation of how chess played at odds works, there is an interesting article by Stewart Reuben, the arbiter for the Charity Chess Challenge. Click here for Stewart's article. Thanks to the Terence Chapman chess site for this.

If you'd like to try your luck at odds chess, the Internet Chess Club (ICC) are running a tournament on Sunday 22nd April. Click here for details on how to enter.

More information on the charities that will benefit from this event can be found here.
