Garry Kasparov’s visit in October 2003 was a fantastic success. Hundreds of people of all ages came to meet the greatest chess player of the modern era. The London Chess Centre is delighted to announce that Garry Kasparov will be back to visit us on July 3rd 2004. This is not any ordinary book signing though! Throughout the day you can play friendly games (against each other), buy copies of Kasparov's books My Great Predecessors 1 + 2 as well as the new DVD 'Game Over: Kasparov and the Machine'. But thats not all ! After the book signing you can listen to Kasparov himself discussing one of the games from the MGP series! You can attend the talk if you have a Chess & Bridge till receipt dated 3rd July 2004. Garry has also kindly agreed to a short Q+A session but we will be selecting only the best questions which must be submitted to us by email in advance.

Kasparov is due to arrive at 10.30am, but we recommend coming to the London Chess Centre for 10am to avoid a long wait in the queue. Book signings, chess throughout the day, and the discussion will take us to 2.30pm. Then we will be running our inaugural Blitz Tournament at the nearby Smuggler's Tavern (non-smoking venue) running from 3pm till 5pm, where there will be some prizes to be won, and some refreshments available at the bar.

Win a signed copy of ‘My Great Predecessors’ Volume 2
