The continuation of the C-Group at the Wijk aan Zee was in doubt for some time but eventually was given the green light in September. This year sees the youngest ever average age and 11 of 14 players are under-20. The event still manages to be a very respectable category IX, Li Chao is the top seed. There will be plenty of interest in the results of the US's newest Grandmaster Ray Robson. The announcement completes the field for the 2010 event.
