The Scottish Championship took place in Hamilton over 9 rounds over 7 days. Sunday 11 - Saturday 17 July 2010. Andrew Greet won the tournament with 7.5/9 and became eligible for the title as he has lived in Scotland for two years (working for the Quality Chess company). In 2nd was John Shaw whose final round win took him to an impressive 7/9.
Top seed Colin McNab lost rating points and only a final round win took him to a finishing total of 6/9.
