--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------![]() Anand wins the blindfold and event over all, he's a point clear in the rapid. Photo © Official site. Round 10 30th March 2005 Anand drew both of his games against Peter Svidler in the penultimate round to guarantee winning the tournament over all and also the blindfold event. He is a point clear in the rapid so only a loss in the final round could cost him. Blindfold first three round 10 games Ivanchuk beat Morozevich in an interesting struggle in a French. Black ended up in trouble and although white let him slightly back into the struggle it wasn't enough to save the game. Vallejo drifted into a bad position against Leko and couldn't save the game. Shirov and Bareev drew an interesting Dutch Defence. ![]() Alexander Morozevich at the start of his blindfold game. Photo © Official site.
