97th British Championships 2010 (Preview)

British Championships take place in Canterbury

The 97th British Chess Championships take place in Canterbury starting on 25th July 2010.

The British Chess Championships 2010 will be held at the University of Canterbury from 25th July to August 7th. Without sponsorship the championship itself won't be very representative but there are many other events for players of all strengths and ages. See the ECF website for more details.

The England teams for the Chess Olympiad in Khanty Mansiysk have been announced. The ECF is so strapped for cash it has been unable to secure the participation of England number one Michael Adams.
