Delancey UK Chess Challenge 2012 (Final)

Clarke wins the 2012 Delancey UK Chess Challenge

Brandon Clarke won the 2012 Delancey UK Chess Challenge after victory in a speed chess playoff over Jean-Luc Weller. Tournament founder IM Michael Basman favours the three points for a win system and the pair ended with five wins and a draw for a score of 16/18, ahead of William Foo on 15/18. In the last round, Clark defeated Adam A Taylor and Weller overcame Richard Weaving.

In the following game, Weller reaches a perfect kind of Torre Attack position from a Trompovsky move order. Black cannot get her minor pieces into the game. Compare the knights and bishops in the board below after 12 moves.
