Crucial Chess Skills for the Club Player Volume 2

Crucial Chess Skills for the Club Player Volume 2

by Robert Ris

In his second volume Ris continues to explore the essentials elements of practical play for any club player. Again, the result is that Ris offers a course to help chess students master all facets of the game.

Appraisal for Volume 1 of Crucial Chess Skills for the Club Player:
“Ris’ Crucial Chess Skills for the Club Player, Vol.1, was one the year’s best. Ris does an excellent job of focusing on three areas where most sub-2200 players might improve. Readers are not burdened with extensive analysis in his book. Instead they are treated to an appropriate and instructive mix of words and moves.”
– John Hartmann, US Chess Life
